At the Canvey Archive we have been given a photograph album with the photographs of Canvey taken by Henry Clubb a local Benfleet Photographer. It states c1925.
Has anyone heard of him? We would love to know more to add to his pictures (some of which will be familiar to you from books, postcards etc) as we upload them to the Canvey site.

Almost certainly an EW 350 model made at the Douglas factory in Bristol. My dad and no doubt the Clubbs would be astonished to know that a good example can be worth £10,000.00
Nice to see an old Douglas – my dad had one…probably the same model in the light of the date. Does anyone know what became of this bike ?
Some of his pictures have now been uploaded and you can see them here http://www.canveyisland.org/category_id__212.aspx
The Electoral Register for 1929 shows that a family lived at 1 and 3 The Endway (now Essex Way) with the following names: Henry James Clubb, Alice Maria Clubb and Henry James William Clubb (who appears to be the son of the aforementioned). Could this be the same gentleman?
Possible. I will look into the names and see what their ages were at that time. Thank you.
