I should explain my earlier posting. I was Alec and Flo Beenewith’s son in law. I was married to their daughter Anne (Linda Lynch’s cousin) from 1967 until she died in June 2001. I saw these photographs about 50 years ago and remember the details of the events. Apparently one of the Bennewith aunts had a weekend cottage on Canvey Island and all the cousins who lived in Stratford would go down to Canvey on summer weekends. Flo was invited to spend the weekend at Canvey by one of the other cousins (Bella Marchant I think) and it was there that Flo met Alec. They were married in 1941, Alec died in July 1983 and Flo died today May 3rd. 2015.
