Rochford 1st Quarter Death Numbers - The 3rd peak

This shows the total number of deaths for the 1st quarter from 1916 to 1920 split by the age bands. The 1st Quarter contained the 3rd peak of the Spanish Flu deaths in 1919. The figures show that the high death rate for people under the age of 60 continued.

This last chart for is the 1st quarter of the years.  The relevant year here is 1919 coinciding with the third wave. The graph shows a higher death rate than expected among younger adults with each group from age 10 to age 49 showing roughly double the expected number. But this is still not as bad as what occurred in the 4th quarter 1918.
