Northern Avenue, off Southwold Crescent
Northern Avenue has changed very little over the past 80 years. The original bungalows lining the narrow road are still very much the same, albeit some residents have added extensions and dormer windows to provide second floor accommodation.
The horse and cart has been replaced by a modern motor vehicle. In the old picture there are no drop down curbs or driveways, which are now necessary to house the ever increasing need for car parking spaces.
