While camping by the Hadleigh Salvation Army jetty about 1935, I took this photo of a sailing barge which had just discharged her cargo of sand and ballast at the Benfleet wharf of the Leigh Building Supply Company in Ferry Road, just past the railway crossing. The photo was taken with a Kodak Brownie Box Camera which I still have.
