Is Charlie the Flattie, Moulder or Off-Bearer?

People might be interested to see this photo taken somewhere in the Hadleigh/Benfleet area around 1900 of a brickmaking team. Third from the left is my grandfather Charles William Tookey (1885-1940). At the 1901 census he was listed as a 15 year old brickfield labourer, and was living in Fairlight Road Hadleigh along with his parents and siblings. I think I can pick out the
Pusher-out and the Barrow Boy at each end of the line up, and possibly the man 2nd from right is the Temperer, holding what I thought was a spade but could be a ‘chuckle’. But is Charlie the Flattie, Moulder or Off-Bearer? I don’t know the names of any of the other members of the team – any thoughts?

The flow of workers also went from Essex to Kent, with members of the family living in Cliffe, Kent, and working in the cement works around the turn of the century.
