On Saturday 28th September 2019 as part of the Essex wide “Day of Action” in support of Essex Libraries, various activities took place to show case the work of Benfleet Library. Benfleet Community Archive provided a display of some of the material that they have on their website and Brian Bellamy, Benfleet Community Archive member was on hand to answer questions about the Archive and Benfleet. The Library also hosted a display of works from a local artist. Meanwhile Rob McDonald, Christine Coley, Gwyn Bailey (pictured) and Phil Coley had a stand outside Richmond Hall Car Park with posters and leaflets explaining the County Council plans for Benfleet Library. There was also a petition which 214 people signed.
