Tarpots Community Booth

The Tarpots Community booth was first set up in January 2002 to give the people of Benfleet a point of contact to air their views and complaints as well as an opportunity to find someone just to talk to.

Many conversations took place about such diverse as the state of the road, (nothing changes) housing, rates, where to find other facilities in Castle Point, loneliness and sharing issues.

Contact was made with a lot of residents of Castle Point and over a period of time many friendships were built up.
