This took place on Tuesday 16th July 2019

These pictures are of the Partial Lunar Eclipse on Tuesday 16th July 2019, which was due to be a full moon. The date coincides with the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 taking off for its historic flight to land on the moon.

Normally with these events we have a cloudy night, but this time the sky was clear.

The next partial Lunar Eclipse that can be seen from Benfleet will not be until 19th November 2021 and the next full lunar eclipse  is not until 16th May 2022.
