I remember the picture being taken, I know I was there but but I can’t see myself. ( some of those names bring back memories) Les Robertson

My youngest brother Tony, is Nr 14 front row on the floor.

David Jones is my brother. I remember him leaving South Benfleet school and going to Appleton – it was still being built and my mother was furious! I remember him coming home with a copy of this picture, and its possible he still has a copy. Although the picture quality is poor, by elimination, he is front row (on floor) at position 12. He certainly isn’t any of the other unnamed pupils in the photo. At that age he had carrot-red fiery coloured hair!
