As this was the first mini-roundabout in the world it was subject to several changes. These first ones took place between the installation in May and the next set of photos on the 11th June 1970. Here you can see that the centre of the mini-roundabout does not have a painted circle in the middle and that the stones between the carriageways have been reduced to just one rather that about six each..
