Dakotas passing over Southend

Flypast of Dakotas on 75th Anniversary of D-Day on 5th June 2019

These pictures were taken from Benfleet (notice the Water Tower) on the day that up to 35 Dakota aircraft (Douglas DC-3/C-47 ) flew from the Imperial War Museum in Duxford to Caen-Capriquet Airport in Normandy. The flight took place on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day on 5th June 2019.

Note: The distance from where I took the photos to the Water Tower is about 1 mile and to where the planes flew over Canvey Island Point about 4 miles.
