Benfleet Primary School - Late 1920s

These two photos were taken at Benfleet Primary School.  The dates are unknown but are probably taken in the late 1920s.

In the first photo, 2nd row back, fifth from left, sits Joyce Finch. Joyce is also in the other photo but her daughter Mavis, who allowed us to publish these photos, is not sure which one is her mum.

Mavis believes the second photo could be a Christmas celebration, the people are wearing fancy dress costumes but the flag in the background could signify a Royal celebration, does anyone know?
