  • I would love to contact anyone who remembers me. I am Janet Pain nee Stevenson and was at Benfleet school from 1947 until 1953/54.I was at the Annual meeting on the 8th March, having come over from Kent where I now live. I have made contact through you (thank you) with Bobbie Barnes Jones and would love to contact Frances Drewer nee Bingham who was a great friend at school.

  • Both Jackie and I had a great time on Saturday, meeting lots of ‘old’ faces and the Exhibition was superb !  Janet Stephenson (Pain) is Jackie’s age and I think they were in the same class at school. Please can we get in contact with her?

  • I would just like to tell you how much I enjoyed my trip to Benfleet.  I was born in Benfleet in 1942 and although I left at the age of 15, I will always think of Benfleet as my home town

Having travelled from Dover early in the morning, it was great to be back in Benfleet after so many years away.

The annual show that you put on was brilliant, well done to you all.  I did leave my details with a very nice man (sorry I cannot remember his name), so I am hoping that someone from my distant past will find the time to get in touch. My name was Janet Stevenson.

Keep up the good work and I hope to return in the near future to see more of everything you do and also Benfleet my home town!!!

  • Visited the exhibition this morning and was very impressed with the layout and chance to see the many old photographs that have been collected. Chatted with neighbours and discovered they live in a house once owned by my uncle! Very nice coffee & cake in the welcome area. Well done to all.
