The history of Boyce Hill Golf & Country Club (2)

In 2022 Boyce Hill Golf & Country Club is celebrating its Centenary.  The club was  formed in 1922 as a  company limited by shares.  A copy of the original Memorandum and Articles of Association can be viewed by downloading the PDF files at the bottom of this page. On the page is a list of some of the original shareholders.  Also shown is a copy of the share certificate belonging to Peter Wilson, one of the early members of the club. Peter’s name can be seen on page 4 of the list of shareholders.

We would like to thank the relatives of the late Doug Wilson, a local land developer, for making available to the Benfleet Community Archive, all of the documents shown here.  Peter Wilson, mentioned previously, was Doug’s father.
