Benfleet Anniversaries for 2020

The year 2020 has at least seven local  anniversaries for Benfleet. They are:

1. 10th Anniversary of the BCA started (not launched) on 28th April 2010
2. 25th anniversary of the opening of the Library on 21st June 1995
3. 50th Anniversary of the mini-roundabout in May 1970
4. 90th anniversary of start of building the bridge to Canvey on 21st May 1930
5. 90th anniversary of mains electricity coming to Benfleet on 30th January 1930
6. 100th anniversary of the dedication of the War Memorial on 30th May 1920
7. 100th anniversary of the Benfleet Horticultural Society on 2nd June 1920

During 2020  hopefully we can have a celebration of each of these as they occur, which we will report.
